We’re excited to introduce Practifi Fiano, a product release that deepens how wealth management firms understand and manage complex client relationships. Named after the Italian white grape prized for its elegance and finesse, Fiano brings clarity to your most intricate client structures, richer intelligence to every client conversation, and a new level of configurability to the tools your team uses every day.
With Fiano, we’re launching Groups, a powerful new entity type that unifies family and business structures into a single consolidated view, and Chat, a conversational AI interface that lets your team engage with the full depth of a client relationship using plain language. We’re also delivering significant enhancements to Meeting Intelligence, expanded configurability for the Create an Entity wizard, and a range of fixes across Active Forms, integrations, and more.
Product Enhancements
Groups: A Unified View of Complex Client Relationships
As client structures have grown more complex, spanning families, trusts, and interconnected entities, so has the need to understand them holistically. For the advisors and operations staff who navigate this complexity daily, having those connections surfaced automatically isn’t just a workflow improvement. It’s a meaningful step forward in how they prepare, serve clients, and run their practice.
Groups is a new entity type designed to bring Individuals, Households, and Organizations together under a single container record. With it, you get a consolidated financial picture, a unified activity view, and a visual map of how everyone relates to one another. No more piecing things together across separate records. Just one place that does the work for you.
Key capabilities:
- Visual Hierarchy Diagram: An interactive diagram maps the group’s full structure. Zoom, scroll, switch layouts, export as a PNG, or click any member to navigate directly to their record.
- Aggregated Views: Groups automatically roll up consolidated financials and AUM, combined services and pipeline, a unified activity feed, and all Smart Notes and documents across all members.
- Flexible Membership Management: Add or remove entities through the Manage Members action from anywhere on the Group record. Membership is visible directly on each entity record.
- Groups Are Containers, Not Clients: Groups organize existing entities without replacing them. Each member retains its own workflows, stages, and records. Processes and tasks can be created at the group level when family-level coordination makes sense.
- Administrator Configurability: Enable or disable Groups organization-wide, configure which fields appear on hierarchy cards, and control which relationship types are visible in the diagram.
Groups aren’t just for multi-family offices. The same consolidated view applies to business partnerships, centers of influence networks, and any scenario where related entities benefit from being organized together.
Entity Management Settings: Customize the Create an Entity Wizard
Introduced in February 2026, the Create an Entity wizard made client onboarding faster and more consistent. Entity Management settings build on that foundation, giving Practifi Administrators a visual, point-and-click interface to configure the wizard without any technical expertise or Salesforce Setup access.
The configuration interface covers three areas:
- Entity Fields: Controls which Account fields appear when creating Households, Organizations, and Individuals, configurable per entity type.
- Member Fields: Controls which Contact fields appear when adding Primary Members, Spouses, Dependents, and Employees, configurable per relationship type.
- Available Types: Controls which entity types and relationship types are available in the wizard. A Kanban board lets you set whether relationship types appear by default, can be added multiple times, appear only once, or are hidden entirely.
Every field supports a display mode of Required, Always Shown, or Add Menu, keeping forms clean while ensuring nothing is out of reach. A governance toggle controls whether new fields from Practifi updates are applied automatically or held for review.
Note: Entity Management settings require the Practifi – Assigned Apps – Settings and Practifi – Entity Management Admin permission sets and can only be modified by users with the Administrator profile.
Chat: Conversational Intelligence for Every Client Relationship
Your CRM holds years of client history, but getting any of it out used to mean navigating across screens and assembling it yourself. Chat eliminates that entirely.
Advisors can now ask questions in plain language and receive responses grounded in real records, with citations linking back to every source.
What makes Chat different:
- The relationship is the core unit of intelligence: Chat draws on the entire relationship record as context, not just recent activity. The richer your firm’s CRM data, the more useful Chat becomes.
- Embedded in your workflow: Chat lives directly on entity record pages and connects back to the same data advisors work with every day. No second system to manage.
- Governance built for a regulated industry: Chat respects Practifi’s native security model. Advisors can only surface data they already have permission to see.
Access Chat from any Household, Organization, or Individual record page, or from the Chat page in the Navigation menu to search and manage conversations across every relationship.
Note: Chat is part of the Practifi Intelligence add-on, available to users with Relationship Intelligence licenses. Contact your Client Success Manager to learn more.
Meeting Intelligence Enhancements: From Transcription to Relationship Insight
Four new enhancements turn meeting records into a structured, searchable layer of your client relationship history:
- Meeting Summaries in Smart Notes: Summaries are now automatically created as Smart Notes when processing completes, making them fully searchable and feeding directly into Follow-Up Assistant and Chat. Administrators can configure storage preferences via a new Summary Storage setting in Notetaker settings.
- Meeting Sentiment: Each completed meeting now displays a sentiment indicator (Positive, Neutral, or Negative) with a brief explanation. Two new fields on entity records surface relationship health at a glance, and a Negative Meeting Sentiment report covering the last 90 days is available in the Practifi Intelligence Reports folder.
- Meeting Topic Classification: Meetings are automatically categorized by topic (Annual Review, Portfolio Review, Estate Planning, and more) based on transcript content. A Filter by Topic dropdown on the Meetings page lets your team narrow their view instantly. No configuration required.
- Copy Summary to Clipboard: A new Copy button in the meeting summary header copies the full summary as plain text in one click, available on both the Event record page and the Meetings page.

External News Sources Updated
The list of external sources available for AI features has been consolidated to a focused set of 46 high-quality sources across four categories: Business & Financial News, General News, Industry News, and Regional News. Three non-news source types have been removed. Administrators should review their source selections in Chat and Smart Notes settings after upgrading. No data is affected.
Resolved Issues by Product Area
In addition to the enhancements above, we’ve addressed several key issues to improve workflow reliability, data accuracy, and user experience across Practifi:
Active Forms
- Cross-Field Prefill Error Resolved: Active Forms no longer display an error message when a prefill references a field that is blank or unresolvable (for example, in multi-step workflows like client gifting processes). The prefill is now skipped gracefully, and the form loads as expected.
- Decimal Support in Table Number Fields: Number fields within Active Form Tables now correctly accept decimal input up to the configured decimal place limit, enabling accurate entry of currency amounts and other decimal values.
- Files Uploaded via Active Form Fields Now Visible on the Parent Process: Files uploaded through Active Form fields on process tasks now automatically roll up to the parent Process record, making process-related files centrally accessible without navigating to individual tasks.
- Large Values Now Accepted in Currency and Number Fields: Currency and number fields in Active Forms previously returned a save error when users entered large values, such as those needed to capture significant assets under management. This has been resolved in the Active Form save pipeline, and fields now correctly handle values up to the configured field length. This fix is applied automatically.
Other Fixes
- Noticeboard Component Visibility for Division-Based Organizations: The Noticeboard component now correctly displays posts from creators who have moved divisions or been deactivated, with added error handling to prevent component failures from user query issues.
- Task Type Filters Handle All Values Correctly: Filtering by Task Type in task list views no longer throws errors for values containing words that were previously misinterpreted as reserved terms (such as “Trade Limit Orders”).
- Long Message ID Error Resolved for Microsoft 365 Email Sync: Emails with internet message IDs exceeding 255 characters now sync correctly. V2 environments will automatically retry previously affected emails on the next sync cycle.
- Constant Contact Events Properly Populate on Activity Timeline: A new Sync Activities to Event setting in Constant Contact integration settings enables CTCT tracking activities to create properly populated Event records with descriptive subjects and Contact/Account links. The setting is disabled by default.
- Smart Notes Settings Page Fixes: Three display issues on the Smart Notes settings page have been resolved, including an incorrect governor limit error on the Migration tab for large organizations, an outdated restriction message on the Notes migration card, and an incorrect sort label on the Categories tab.
- Custom Smart Note Template Generation Failure Resolved: Custom Smart Note templates could fail to generate for households with large amounts of associated data, displaying the error “This Smart Note didn’t generate successfully.” The failure was caused by household data volume exceeding a platform processing limit. The generation process now handles larger data volumes, and custom templates will generate successfully regardless of the amount of associated household data. This fix applies automatically with no admin action required.
- Consistent Naming for Services Created by Processes: Service records created through process workflows now follow the same naming convention as services created manually — {Entity Name} – {Service Type} – {Start Date} — resolving a confusing inconsistency between the two creation paths.
See all resolved issues in the full technical release notes.
