Software Developer, Professional Services

Experience: 3+ years | Location: Chicago, IL

We are looking for talented software developers/engineers with a passion for innovation to join our Professional Services team, based from our Chicago, IL office. 

Working on a variety of project-based client initiatives, you will need a strong mix of design thinking and creative problem solving paired with a passion for clean, efficient and scalable development practices to succeed. This role will work closely with core product teams to minimize technical debt and will require exceptional attention to detail. Those with a combination of front and back-end skills and an eye for design will excel in this environment. Working to consistently tight timeframes, a diligent approach to quality is essential. 

Reporting to the Head of Professional Services and working closely with the onboarding, client success and product teams, this position provides an exceptional opportunity to extend your development skills on every level.

  • Work with internal consultants to ensure development targets are well defined
  • Provide accurate status updates in a timely manner
  • Handle multiple concurrent engagements across a variety of clients
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Salesforce and Practifi features and functionality (incl. upcoming product roadmap)
  • Accurately record detail of time utilization for billing purposes
  • Adhere to company policies and the Practifi development framework at all times
  • Ensure requests for new functionality are assessed for product fit prior to customization
  • Smart, ambitious and motivated self-starter that doesn’t take themselves too seriously
  • Strong team spirit and able to work effectively in collaboration with others
  • 3 years’ experience developing full-stack solutions on the Salesforce platform
  • Expert in Salesforce Lightning and ideally Lightning Web Components
  • A deep and clear understanding of the Lightning Design System
  • Experience in working with third-party Javascript libraries within Lightning
  • Salesforce developer and perhaps architect certifications
  • A track record of delivering high-performance and innovative Lightning components
  • A deep understanding of working with data in Salesforce standard and custom objects and be expert in the nuances of SOQL and governor limits
  • An understanding of how to build configurable apps using custom metadata types

This is a permanent full-time position. It is offered under a common-law employment agreement with the accompanying employee protections.

The remuneration associated with the role will be individually negotiated with the successful applicant and will be based on experience and fit for the role.
