Consultant, Professional Services

Experience: 2-3 years | Location: Chicago, IL

We are looking for energetic and creative consultants to join our newly formed Professional Services team, based from our Chicago, IL office. 

This is an exciting role sitting at the intersection of business and technology, where your ability to think beyond the usual to craft exceptional outcomes for clients will be valued. A blend of project management, business/technical analysis and process design skills will ensure your capable of tackling every task. The ability to remain calm and methodical in a fast-paced environment whilst balancing multiple engagements is essential for success.

Reporting to the Head of Professional Services and working closely with the onboarding, client success and product teams, this position provides an exceptional opportunity to hone your consulting skills on every level.

  • Accept accountability for client projects from scope to deployment
  • Report on delivery to plan, risk/issue management and financial performance on engagements
  • Handle multiple concurrent engagements across a variety of clients
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Practifi features and functionality (incl. upcoming product roadmap)
  • Identify opportunities to increase system utilization within clients and refer to sales and/or client success
  • Accurately record detail of time utilization for billing purposes
  • Manage client invoicing with Finance
  • Adhere to company policies at all times
  • Work closely with the client success team to manage client satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle
  • Ensure requests for new functionality are assessed for product fit prior to customization
  • Smart, ambitious and motivated self-starter that doesn’t take themselves too seriously
  • Strong team spirit and able to work effectively in collaboration with others
  • 2-3 years delivering bespoke client solutions in a consulting environment
  • Proven history of on-target delivery following Agile project disciplines
  • Strong use-case analysis and requirement preparation experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical acumen across the full software development lifecycle, release management and quality assurance knowledge highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of the broader financial services market and, with experience in wealth management/financial planning firms highly regarded
  • Experience consulting on the use of the Salesforce platform is highly regarded
  • Voracious appetite for self-development

This is a permanent full-time position. It is offered under a common-law employment agreement with the accompanying employee protections.

The remuneration associated with the role will be individually negotiated with the successful applicant and will be based on experience and fit for the role.
