Practifi Pinot Blanc Release Notes
BY TEAM Practifi
We’re excited to introduce our latest product release, Practifi Pinot Blanc.
Originating in the Burgundy region of France, Pinot Blanc is a point genetic mutation of Pinot Noir. The Pinot Blanc grape is grown in the cool climates of Northern Italy, Austria and Germany and is used to make both still and sparkling white wines. Pinot Blanc is refreshing and dry with notes of pear, peach, almond and lemon zest. A versatile wine, it pairs with everything from soft cheeses to oysters to flaky fish.
Similarly, Practifi Pinot Blanc brings versatility to Deals, Services and Deliverables. With more flexibility and automation, Pinot Blanc gives your firm the opportunity to streamline and monitor the service commitments you make to your clients. Practifi Pinot Blanc will be available starting from July 8, 2024. If you have any questions or want to learn more, your Client Success Manager will be happy to help. Key Highlights
Bypass Deal Creation for Services
Not all services need to follow a traditional sales process. Some services can be added without having to open a deal and progress through the stages. With Pinot Blanc, Service Types can be made available directly within the New Service action on a client’s record, allowing users to skip the deal creation process entirely.
Create Custom Stages for Deals and Services
The path from identifying a prospect to completing a service can vary greatly. That’s why we’ve included the ability to create custom stages beyond the default set of stages available within Deals and Services. Users can create custom stages for the Deal object, the Service object or both.
Set Services to Complete Based on Deliverables
Not every service offered by a firm goes on in perpetuity. Some, such as tax planning, are one-off services with a set collection of tasks. To that end, we’ve added the option to set a service to automatically complete when all its related deliverables are completed.
Automate Deliverables with Activation Rules
Set criteria to determine when a Deliverable should be created. For example, admins can create an Activation Rule that looks at a client’s segment and creates a specific Deliverable based on the segment. This allows your firm to create and assign Deliverables more efficiently and enable team members to execute them more consistently.
Complete, Cancel and Reactivate Deliverables
Set criteria to determine when a Deliverable should be created. For example, admins can create an Activation Rule that looks at a client’s segment and creates a specific Deliverable based on the segment. This allows your firm to create and assign Deliverables more efficiently and enable team members to execute them more consistently.
Complete Deliverables Based on Fulfillments
Specify how many times a Deliverable should be fulfilled for a client before it is automatically completed. This optional setting is intended for services that are limited engagements rather than ongoing. For example, your firm may only deliver quarterly reviews in the first year with your client – once this Deliverable is fulfilled four times, its status will change to Completed.
Fulfill Deliverables on Logged Calls
In addition to tasks and events, users can now fulfill Deliverables based on completed call records. When viewing a completed call task, eligible Deliverables will appear in the Available for Fulfillment section of the Deliverables area in the record side panel.
Additional Product Enhancements
In addition to the key highlights noted above, Practifi Pinot Blanc brings enhancements and improvements to our user experience that make it easier and faster for your team to serve your clients.
Simplified ‘New Deal’ and ‘Promote to Prospect’ Workflows
To improve usability and reduce the number of clicks, users can now create a new deal or promote a prospect within one responsive window rather than progressing through multiple screens. The fields within this window will update dynamically based on the user’s selections.
Access Service Types in the Settings
To make it easier and more intuitive to find Service Type records, we’ve added a new Service Types page to the Settings app. Here, Admins can create, edit and update Service Types. Previously, these were located on the Categories page.
Highlighting Required Fields in Active Form Tables
Required fields in Active Form tables are now highlighted to make them stand out and clearly indicate that users need to fill them out in order to complete the related task.
Fields Added to Addepar Intergration
We’ve extended the range of fields available as part of Practifi’s integration with Addepar and updated the Asset and Holding record page layouts to display them. Check out the fields in the technical release notes.
Active Form Multi-Screen Navigation Fix
We resolved an issue where users were unable to navigate freely back and forth between screens of a multi-screen form where there were incomplete required fields.
Asset Holdings Moved to a Separate Tab
To improve visibility and accessibility, Asset Holdings (e.g., underlying portfolio records) have been separated from the Additional Information tab into a dedicated Holdings tab within asset records.
Duplicate Custom Field Fix
We resolved an issue where a custom field with the same name as a packaged Practifi field caused records to stop displaying on the record table as new records were loaded in via an integration.
Streamlined Relationship Creation for Contacts and Entities
As part of the Montepulciano release in April 2024, we extended the range of relationships you can use to link contact records to other Contacts or Entities, ensuring you can enter details from either direction of the relationship. In this release, we’ve now refined the search when creating or editing a relationship so that it only returns records relevant to the record type. For example, when relating to a contact, only matching records for contacts will be displayed.
